The Newlyweds!
We did it! We got married! It doesn't feel real...almost two weeks married. No more worrying about planning this or that...no more wedding decisions to make...back to normal life.
Looking back at the special night...As I heard my music cue ("Thousand Years" by the Piano Men), I gazed up to the stars and the half moon above me and absorbed what already happened and what was to come: the special feeling I felt when I first met my wonderful husband, our first kiss(es) under the stars and veil of mist, when he introduced me to his family, when he first told me he loved me, when I took care of him while he was bedridden with mono, when he did zumba with me multiple times, when he asked me to marry him, our upcoming honeymoon, our future children. Those few seconds I had lots racing through my mind. I was also extremely nervous about our first dance. But those 8 minutes flew by sooo fast. The whole night did!
I also remember trying to look between the bamboo shoots to see the bridge and my honey. I couldn't really see him that well. I peeked around the corner to see the guests. I was amazed how many people were there to celebrate our new life together. We are so lucky!
We are now patiently waiting for our marriage license. I'm excited to officially be Mrs. Faulkner! (I was called Mrs. Faulkner all throughout our cruise...I really like the ring to it!) :-)
